Ochi is a character from one of my novels- the horsie of a baddy...
purely conceptual
- don't are about proportions, only the concept - is supposed to be black but I had a wash not pure paint - is very very messy but you get the idea
ref= cyclopedia anatomicae photo= bad time= approx 1 hr size= A2 medium= waterbased acrylics on a pencil sketch w/ fineliner outlines and hatching.
For an hour's worth of work, I think you've done a fantastic job... I on the other hand would take at least 3-4 hours to get a traditional up to that level of detail.
To be honest, while a zombie horse is not the most original concept I do however like your rendition of a bridle, in particular how the reins are in the eye sockets.
Overall you have done considerable well considering the circumstances, only thing left to do is just to keep on refining it. I'd love to see it.

Yeah. I actually timed myself this time. I love toying with old concepts and manipulating them into something else. Most of the time I only do so w/ dramatic dialogues and short stories. This is the first time in a while I have done so really in a picture.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
